Nice hearing from you again! ^_^

Nice job, Chris. :D I really do enjoy this theme--it's not too loud like the common "war" related songs on NG, and the transition into 1:20 was really cool! :D I only have one small qualm--I can't hear a really prominent bass. I think a louder bass line would give this song the depth it needs to be truly awesome! :D

Anywho, awesome song! :D Post moooore! ^_^

You did me proud! ^_^

Great job! :D Nice mix of electronica and reverb. Thank you so much! ^_^

The mastering...

not only amplified this wonderful song, but also brought new depthness and perception to this piece. Great job, and I can't wait to hear more! ^^

SilentTakedown responds:

Thanks, it was a lot of work, but the song is very good done.

Great! ^_^

Man, I know how those AP exams are. (HELL! :D)

Anywho, nice song. Very light, ambient, and nice. This piece is very happy, moving, and melodically beautiful! ^_^ Great job, and I can't wait to hear more! ^_^

Very Awesome Indeed.

You have a lot of cool elements going on here. Lots of different synths, vocals, and pads. This totally eminates the true spirt of the classic: happy, spirited, and exciting. Great job, and I can't wait to hear more! ^_^

Compositionally...

A substantial piece worthy of most praise. :) However, from a mastering standpoint, you could add a little reverb to make the piano sound less dead (musically, not literally) and allow the piece to sound less computerized. I can also hear where the piece could move a lot more dynamically, so bring out some of those awesome low bass chords and crazy piano riffs! ^_^

I hope my suggestions help, and I can't wait to hear more! ^_^ Great job! ^_^

MJTTOMB responds:

Taking all of that into consideration, I might as well turn it into a piano duet toccata. Whatever the hell that is. XD. But yeah, all good suggestions, all will probably be employed in the remix.

Good concept, but could use some improvement. :)

This is not a bad piece, not a bad piece at all, but here are some suggestions to make it better.

1) It seemed very cluttered at times. Try slowly adding on new melodic lines, and ideas, and introduce the listener to each idea. That way, it will not sound very cluttered from the start.

2) Though the string sample sounds very good, there is no reverb to make the choir or the string seem live. Add some reverb, or more reverb, and work on things like dynamics. Don't count on more melodic lines to push the piece forward dynamically, because it will just end up in disaster.

3) You need a defined ending. The end just seems to fizzle away like all that important polyphony and counter-point was useless. The last impression the song will make on your listener is the ending, so try to make it as grand as your overall piece.

Good job! :D For a song in minor, and your first classical submission, not bad work at all. I could really see this as a piece on piano, too. :)

I can't wait to hear more! ^_^

Could use a little more work.

You have some cool synths going on, along with the awesome overdrive guitar, too. However, when the piano entered, the song kinda fizzled away.

Your piano melody needs some substanance to it--in other words, add a cool effect or reverb or *something* to make the song sound less dead. (not in a bad way, just in musical terms. ;) )

Just before the awesome guitar solo, add some dynamics to the piano build up. Make the volume of the piano get louder, do something with the synth pattern you got going under the build up, and then when the guitar comes in, add a full out drum section to show the listener that you are moving on to another part of the song. Also, add on to the song, it kinda ends very abruptly.

Good concept though! ^_^ I can't wait to hear more from you! :)

Nice one! :)

The only complaint I have about this song is that the intro needs to be a wee bit longer, but other than that, it would be great for an epic game song!

Good job! ^_^ I can't wait to hear more! :)

Bosa responds:

Yeah, but I wanted to get this one as short as I could, but still containing a story and still have some use.

Thanks for the review,
Bosa

Oh my goodness...
