I've nearly given up on music myself and am trying to decide if I should play it safe, switch gears, and get a degree in some soul-crushing yet lucrative field. After reading your story, I think I might just keep on keeping on.

Sorry, I got super excited to hear from you again. *clears throat*
I will definitely be so sad if you gave up on writing music. Though I will say that it's important to pay bills and be able to feed yourself, I stopped writing music for what seemed like years, and I was absolutely unhappy with myself and my outlook on life. I think that it's all about balance, whether it be composing music or learning a new job or skill. I'm a little rusty right now, but I hope I can get back to writing more regularly. Here's to finding balance! :D
